Caprice Linux is a Linux distribution, with a mostly GNU userland. The project started in April 2020 as a playground for a bigger commercial project, but later became an independent project and kept going on. It's originally forked from the stable branch of Debian GNU/Linux but only using APT as the main skeleton in base builds. The package management system is now
pkgsrc which is borrowed from NetBSD and for apps and services which are installed through the
pkgsrc, we also use NetBSD's own init system.
